We're waiting for better weather. Start, probably, in the afternoon.

Visibility was excellent at startup. Yet he was quite heavy range.

The information relates only to the Czech breeders.

Other drills will take place. We have here a very stuffy, hot over 30°C, storm, electricity charged air. We'll wait for the cold front, behind which the air is clean.

This year the weather is very unstable.
We are trying to reduce the risk to a minimum.

The measured training from Blučina was due to unsuitable weather canceled. Three hours I consulted, together with Mr. Miroslav Ivan, on the phone with Mr. Zdeněk Horák and others. The prognosis wasn't favorable. Unfortunately.

Dear sport friends,
we have absolved a hard training from the Blučina village. It was started on Saturday, on 2 August 2014. We have transported the young doves to home from the same route on Monday, 28 July 2014. It means, we do not intend to fly with the pigeons in any weather. But this year very varies climatically. One front with northern-west wind comes from the west; another with south-eastern winds comes from the east. And additional variants appear. A danger of heavy thunderstorms, air filled with electricity, high humidity. Our territory lies between the millstones. The situation will not improve till there begins the classical one-direction-air flow.

Misters Miroslav Ivan and Josef Kameník from local organisation took part on the start on Saturday. Both are very experienced and successful breeders. We have together observed more than two hours on a hill, how the sky goes to be clear. The visibility was better and better, till we have decided to release the young doves in the Blučina vilage. No one from us three did not anticipated, what drama is prepared for the Talent Quatro station.

At the moment of start, at 9:00, the temperature was 25°C and rose quickly. A slight south-eastern wind has blown. The visibility on the place of the start was 30 kilometres, but the horizon was not clear. There was so called mist. I know, the mist is not ideal weather for the young doves, but in case that I would not start, it would be hard to explain it to some participants. The mist was observed stronger during the way back, mainly near the Prostějov city. But the neighbouring Drahanská Upland had clearer contours. According to the routes of coming home, what I was unfortunately not able to observe, it was clear that the young doves came just through the Drahanská Upland.
The station had similar troubles during the training from Slavkov in the last year, but this action had more favourable course without bigger consequences. Then, the young doves flown through the Drahanská Upland too, but the view was not influenced by the mist.

The reality that this particular training finally did not became the total catastrophe was caused by the fact that the young doves were not put on the route in a really good condition, what was confirmed by misters Mikuláš Varga and František Vaculčík that caught the young doves in the evening. They have trained very well around the loft; they were fed by Ovigor Euro mixture - Phase III., also by a widow’s feed intended for the moment before the start. More, the feed was enriched by the Oregano-Schaffet product, Röhnfried Company. This is a product containing up to 45% of the sheep fat giving the necessary energy to the doves. The excellent coming home at the next day only confirms our statement that the young doves were prepared very well for the training. Also the coming home on the third day was relatively good, some young doves will come back, but there will not be a high number. Thus, we will lose ca 30 percents.

What will be the next steps? The young doves will absolve a shorter training, to renew their self-confidence. But the racing plan is seriously jeopardised, the weather does not plan to change radically. We are convinced that the main aim of the test station is organising the scheduled races and their terms must not be dogmatic. Therefore, in case that we will not be able to organise the scheduled action till 13 September 2014, what is the date of final race from Croatia, we will ask the FCI to postpone the date of our final race.

The young doves had a bath day today, on Monday on 4 April 2014. Yesterday, their drinking water was enriched by an Aminovit product from Herbots and by 3 Plus Röhnfried electrolyte. The feed was dropped by Natural garlic oil and sprinkled with Vitaminor yeast, Natural Company too. The young doves look well, only those coming home today have to rest sufficiently.
